Sunny December days

Well that blew by! I can't believe that it's the end to the year of 2021. Here's a wee recap of the month of December.

It was Tia girls birthday, so we spent the night celebrating her! We went to dinner, and hung out, wearing those infamous birthday cone hats hehe.

My friend Caroline had a Christmas cocktail party! She was so kind to invite me and she is quite the host hehe, so it was a cool time celebrating and getting hyped up for Christmas.

There's not much decorations or holiday cheer (lol) in the area but there's a few things from here and there, including this huge Christmas tree in the middle of the city which was quite cool to see at night!

Also, I'm a working girl now hehe. I got a new job at the end of November, and am working at the hospital! I worked quite a bit in this month and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

There was one day where I got to hang out with Aunty Lee for a bit. Her and I went to watch Ihaia at his waka ama practice which was quite cool. He does such a great job at it!

Arihia, Strantz, and I went out one night and got up to a few things hehe. We started by getting some dinner at the markets which is a fave of ours. Thank goodness for $5 dumplings that don't taste like cinnamon sugar.

We continued the night by going to timezone, rode some lime bikes around the city, and ended the night with a late night drive around to some good jams. It was a really nice getting out of the house and spending time together.

I have to include this in the blog haha! I can not stress enough how much of a fan I am of Tianabakes. I had heard so many good things about her stuff and luckily had driven past her caravan on day, and had to pull over. Here's a few of the things we tried, and everything was heavenly.

These two cousins of mine after church one Sunday.

Then!!! Our trip to Nelson came, honestly out of no where hehe and we had arrived, and were ready to party!

Three gals ready for a vacation.

We got up to a ton of fun things, so we'll just go over a few of the highlights!

Toro lives right by the water and gets the prettiest views. Especially when the sun goes down. So here's a few snapshots from one night. We'd go out, or sit in the living room and look at the sky almost every day. There were too many pretty nights while we were on our visit.

Then, we had visits with this cute chick. It was a highlight of the trip visiting with these cousins, since we don't get to see them heaps. I love this pic of Anya-Lei.

Kara and I took the day to go and do some exploring. We went and drove out to Lake Rotoiti, and it was beautiful. Kara and I made an attempt to try and go in for a swim but it was freaking freezing. So I made it about hip deep and Kara struggled a bit more lol, but we can both say that we've at lease dipped our toes in and what not haha.

After the lake we picked up some yummy thai food and ate it out on toros deck. The weather was breezy and lovely. Here's some pics of Kara and I soaking up as much sunshine as we can.

Toro brought out her couches to the deck, we put on some good jams, and sat out for a little while just enjoying life. I loved just lounging around and hanging with those two.

Love this toro of mine! She was so good to us on this trip. She is a great chef, and so she was constantly cooking up these amazing dishes and coming along to as many adventures with us as she could. I'm really grateful for this time that I got to hang out with her.

Then, the entire lot of us went on a walk to the center of NZ. I had never done it before so it was a cool thing to be able to do all together. It was a nice and long walk up haha, but it was worth it when we got to the top to a gorgeous view of the Nelson area.

The girlies.

Afterwards, we got a real fruit ice cream and then went for a swim in the ocean hehe. Us four ladies, jumped in from this rock like area. It was really salty, so we weren't there for long but it was nice to be able to cool down from such a hot day.

Spent more time with the Kahaiali'i cousins! Got a lot of quality time with Tups. Just love them both so dang much. So grateful for these times together.

She is the freaking cutest girl!!

Girl hangs.

Toro took us to this spot where they have salmon that you catch, then kill, and then they cook it for you with these different flavorings. Such a crazy experience hahah but quite cool.

Okay so you know how windows has this iconic screensaver of this pretty beach view!? Well crazy stuff, that screensaver is a picture of somewhere in New Zealand and we got to visit it while we were on our trip down south! and all I can say, is it is one of the prettiest beaches!

;
Wharaiki Beach!

There were so many different sceneries in one spot. There were green hills, the ocean, sand dune like views. It was wild, but so dang beautiful!!

Sound of music kind of vibes.

The prettiest views!!

How cute is she!? Hehe.

It was so cool!! cos I got to see my fave girl, Aves! We went bowling, had lunch, and got some ice cream. Was the nicest time being able to hang and catch up with her.

A random picture of Kara and I at a dinner with Toro, where she made two new friends that she introduced us two hehe. Love how she's always talking to people and creating relationships.

and that't a wrap on a lovely trip down south!!
