June/July things

 JUNE

Nanny had a birthday hehe. It was so nice to spend the day with her. We went to Putaruru to have lunch and look at some shops. We went back to Tok and got our nails done. We had such a good day together. I'm grateful she was born.

I got to hang with the Turketos! It was Iraia's first bday, and we celebrated well for that sweet boy hehe.

It had been a long while haha but I visited one of my absolute fave places!

Ruakura berry fields. The bestest.

We had a Hippolite hui at the family history centre! Aunty Rangi and Uncle Vic have a huge collection of Hippolite pics and things and we were able to go through those. A lot of the Hippolite's were able to come together and we got to catch up with one another. It was such a nice time.

Emma Karamea was in town for her semester break and I was able to spend heaps of time with her hehe. She's one of my favorites, so it was really nice being able to see her.

Spent a lot of late nights with these two hehe.

The best card game out there 'bread' hehe.

Some sunrise/sunset pictures hehe:

Supported Ihaia at his bball game! He does so well, I always enjoy supporting him. Go Melville hehe.

We had a going away dinner for Tai because he was heading back to Hawaii. Such sad times haha but we had a lovely time at the hood. Aunty Kaye and Aunty Em were in town so it was nice to have them come along. We had good eats, good conversations, and enjoyed each others company.

We said goodbye to this traitor hahaha. Kidding! I went along with Kara to drop him off to the airport. Had so much fun spending time with Tai while he was here in NZ. Miss him, but excited for him to be back at BYU living it up hehe.

It was Emma's bday, so as a late bday gift Kara and I wanted to take her to 'In the Heights' because she really wanted to see it. We had a big group of us that ended up going hehe. It was a fun night!

JULY

We hit up the Friday night markets! One of our faves hehe. We all tend to get the same thing every time haha but it's a good excuse to get out of the house and get some yummy dinner.

I love the drive home from Melville area. There are days when I wind down the windows and blast a good jam haha. Then, there are days like this. When the sun is going down and you see the temple. It's just one of my absolute favorite things about living here.

This is random haha but I had to include this in the post. So Kara and I are big fans of Dmack hehe. He was in a newspaper for Waikato Times I think haha and we had extra copies at work, so I cut out his face out of one to give to Kara LOL. We put it in the best spot of her wee studio so she could see him every single day hehe.

A bit blurry, but a goodie hehe. I got to see these two one Saturday. Nanny Nora and Papa came up for an appointment and brought the two middle Rota kiddies. Then, Nana Kura and some of the Moekes came along as well hehe. It was nice being able to catch up with them for a bit.

Shout out to Miah hehe, for hooking us up with All Blacks tickets! It was my first ever All Blacks game and it was so exciting. It was Koro, Kara, Ihaia, and I who all went. We had dinner before and then headed to the stadium. It was a bit of a rainy and chilly day but the game was still heaps of fun! I enjoyed having Ihaia next to me and having his commentary during the game hehe.

The kids had school break, so I got to spend a day with them hehe! Kara came along too which made it all the more fun. We went to mini golf, went to the lake for pizza, and then went back home for movies. It was a really nice day with that bunch.

He had signed his name every time he had been to the mini golf place hehe.

Tagging walls lol.

Kaliya's pet haha.

Picnic at the lake.

I got to go down to Tok one Sunday to be there for this precious girls baby blessing!

Love the way she loves her sister.

Love her so much.

Kara and I got oodies!! Probably, one of the best purchases I've ever made hehe.

One Saturday I got to go to the Rota boys rugby games. It was nice being able to see them and support them. It was also lovely getting to hang with Mia girl hehe.
After the game, Nana Kura and I went to the base to have lunch. It was nice catching up and having good chats with her hehe.

Nana Kura.
