Just a wee update (a year later haha)
So I got out of quarantine, and was freed from jail hehe. Then, my best life began haha. I was meeting new people, hanging out with family, and got through one semester of school, woo freaking hoo hehe. It was the best. Then summer break hit, and I headed straight back home, lol. Not what was planned but summer break was the best, and here's a bit of what happened!
I got a job! Actually two haha and that kept me pretty dang busy. I ate at all my fave spots while home being home, it was a must haha.
And I went to all those spots with some of my faves.
A lot of sister dates hehe and eats. |
Aloha Kitchen. |
The absolute best part of being back was being home with them!
I also spent a lot of time with my favorite boy. Our fave past time is riding bird scooters, so we did that of course hehe. The best place to ride is at Tempe Town Lake along the lake and in the sun. It's just the best.
These were a lot of what the views looked like on a daily. AZ hands down, has the best sunsets and you can't convince me otherwise.
Mum and Dad had their 22 year anniversary! So grateful for their love. Grateful for the way that they've made each other better and grateful for their example of love.
Sheldyn Lee and I voted!! It was quite cool because I got to vote in both NZ and the US this year. I'm grateful for the women and people that fought for the right for me to vote today. It was such a cool experience for me to be able to vote for the first time.
and then there was more and more eating hahaha.
Supported our fave local business, Cupz n crepes in Ahwatukee. |
Forefathers. An absolute fave. |
It wasn't all eating out either hahaha. There was some home cooking and baking in the mix.
Lime chicken fajitas. Thank you to Trader Joes for the lovely seasoning. |
Creole chicken with mash and asparagus. The BEST. |
Cookie cupcakes made by mum herself hehe. |
Spent as much time with Shel as we could before she'd be leaving us for 18 months.
If you know us well, you know we're not affection gals. So this is funny in so many ways. |
Shel got set apart as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!!
and then she left to Lansing, Michigan as Sister Hawea. Proud is an under statement. We love her and miss her everyday.
Mum had a birthday hehe! Kel and I woke up early to make her breakfast. We had homemade cinnamon rolls and bacon, a couple of her fave things because she's our fave.
We went pedal boating one day with our fave kid. The sun was going down while we were out on the water and it was beautiful.
Had lots of lunch dates with these two! We all worked together for a few months (in different departments, but at the same company hehe). So, we made sure to take advantage of that and made sure to have lunch together as much as we could.
Boo boo girl turned 17 and we celebrated with ice cream. Her day of birth turned into a week and a bit of celebrating haha. Grateful she was born.
Lol. |
I miss my people. Thankful that I had the opportunity to go back home for about 6 months. Thank goodness for technology so that the distance doesn't seem too far away hehe.
