March & April Highlights

And here we are again hehe.

MARCH

I left home and was on my way back to New Zealand for school and here I was again, lockdown part 2. It was lame because I was by myself this time haha but I had Netflix and school to keep me busy lol. Heres a bit from that. There was lots of food haha, and lots of face timing.

The two weeks went by and I was free! Hallelujah hahaha. It was painful but thank the heavens for getting me through hehe. I was happy to be out, and even happier to see these people:

APRIL

So much was happening as soon as I got out of quarantine. Not even a week had really gone by since being out of quarantine and we were set to go up North to Kaikohe for the Hui Tau! A lot of family were going, then there was family performing, etc. and it was just really exciting stuff.

We of course had to stop at Pokeno for an ice cream and a treat.

We stopped at Orewa for one night before making it all the way up to Kaikohe and Orewa was beautiful. Aunty Lee set us up with such a nice place right near the beach and it was stunning.

We finally made it all the way up to Kaikohe. It was already full on and we were running into so many family and friends. We watched the sun go down and the sunset was gorgeous. We ended the night at McDonalds for some dinner and it was a great way to end our full on day.

Aunty Stacey.

This was Saturday. The second day of the Hui Tau. We watched kapa haka pretty much the entire day and it was so good. The groups were amazing and it was nice weather all through out the day. We had the chance hang out and meet family, it was such a cool day.

We ended the night with the ball. There was a live band performing which was quite cool. There was heaps of family there, so it was really nice to dance it out with the lot of them.

The view from the marae. It was such a lovely morning.

Tuhikaramea kapa haka performance. They were amazing.

The ball crew hehe.

Arihia and I decided to go out on a day trip. We stopped in Tirau and then we were off to Putaruru to visit the Blue Springs. We stopped in Tirau, kind of on a whim. We went in to this cafe and they had my most favorite kapati ice cream, chocolate caramel almond ice cream and it was the bestest hehe.
It was also my first time to the springs and the water was clear and so dang pretty!

Tirau

The bestest ice cream hehe.

The Blue Springs.

Third wheeling with two of my faves in Rotorua hehe. They took me to a Korean BBQ place where you cook your own meat at the table. It was my first time at a place like that and it was so neat. We went and got ice cream at Lady Janes and it was the perfect treat. We went walking around with our dessert and heard live music and followed it and it ended up being Uncle Kelly and his sons. We sat and listened for quite a while and it was really nice.

Lady Janes.

More April things:
How pretty!?

The infamous limo from pizza hut. This trios fave haha.

Winner winner dinner date with Koro.

Love these sweeties.

We went to a Chiefs game and it was the BEST! Koro has been to heaps of games but this was Tai, Kara, and I's first pro game and we were so flipping excited! The energy was so fun, and it was our first time being introduced to DMack hahaha. We are now the biggest Chiefs fans hehe.
