Hawea party week!

My most favorite people are in the country and we are ready to party hehe! My sisters and I came from Hawaii and we were picked up by our lovely parents who had made it to town the day or two before, and this week was going to be the best.

I was meant to have my Uni graduation but there were some silly complications but it was a good excuse to still get together

Day 1- The Luge

Woke up bright and early because the whole lot of us where heading to Rotorua to go to the Luge hehe. We're big fans of the luge so this was an exciting day. All dads siblings, and their kids were in town and we were ready to party.

Most of us were staying at this aribnb out towards Koromatua ways and it was gorgeous. It was cozy and roomy, and it fit all of us!

We all met up in the same place so we could follow one another out to Rotorua. Love this sassy little thing hehe.

Had a wee treat at a close by bakery! Pies, kebabs, all the things these peeps love to eat while they're in town.

Scoping out the goods.

Anya Lei is here, and she's ready to party!

We have arrived and we are ready to make our way up to the Luge hehe!

This guy is scary to go to the luge with haha. He likes pushing people off, riding super duper close to someone as they're going down hahaha, but he's a fun time.

The gangs got their helmets on and were ready to go hehe.

Oop, not the middle fingers ha.

My sissy's and I riding down on the luge together hehe. So happy they're here and for the memories we get to make.

Dad and I on the luge! This guy is competitive in everything he does, sometimes a little scary but for the most part pretty enjoyable. He was happy this day, and it was such a fun day!

Arihia, Mum, and I did the big swing hehe. I've done it once before, Mum and Arihia have done it a few times too I'm pretty sure and we were so pumped to do it together. So you start by sitting down in the bottom, and you get taken up to one point. Once you're up you're given a thumbs up to pull this lever that lets you down and you're literally in charge of pulling it haha. It's terrifying but I was the one assigned to do so and I was all talk saying it was gonna be something easy to do and once I was at the top, I wanted to cry haha. It kinda felt loose where you could fall out at one point so that's what made me eager to pull it and off we were. We were screaming, laughing, and we had so much fun! A few others went on the swing that day and we had the rest of our family watching and cheering us on from down below hehe.

We had lunch at this buffet that they have and it had the yummiest food. Had all sorts of things from pasta, meat, potatoes, so many yummy desserts. Have craved that place a lot since we've gone hehe.

This was Mum and I checking out the views from above.

The days done and this is us on our way back down from a really fun time at the luge hehe.

So happy Uncle Turi and Aunty Leo were there too and were able to bring some of their grandkids who are such a hoot haha.

Grateful for such a fun time with my people. We don't get to see each other a lot and when we do, we make the most of it.

These two frenemies finally got to meet in person haha. Mal is in Rotorua for work and was able to meet up with us as went shopping for a dress that Kellyn could wear for family pictures the next day ha.

This is how we ended the night. Just hanging out together at the airbnb. We had pool, card games on another table, and lots of chats.

Funnest first day to the Hawea party week hehe!

Day 2- Family pictures & Toro's 70th birthday

All my dads siblings and their families, and our grandparents got family pictures done. There were a lot of us and we woke up bright and early to get these pictures done at the temple. We started with one sibling and thier different families, and went through everyone until they got their pictures done. After all that we got some together and got a bunch of different combos. Was actually such a fun time.

Here's a few pictures that we got back from the photographer! She did amazing.

Here's a collection of pictures that we got on our phones as we were waiting around and getting pictures done. I swear it had taken us over an hour to get pictures done haha. There was a lot of us, so it made sense but it was a bit of an experience ha.

My sissys and I got changed from our family pictures, and snuck off to a wee bakery to get something to eat. It was fun to sneak off just us! I showed them where to get my favorite chips with the yummiest chicken salt and these chicken kebabs I love. It was the best.

A whole lot of us ended up going to Raglan for some fish and chips! There's this shop by the water with some yummy, yummy, fish and chips. It was foggy and overcast, it was actually quite nice.

Then, we were off to Toros 70th birthday! This is us on our way to the Kai hall, holding hands with our sweetie cousin hehe. She has so much sass, but is the most loving little girl I know and I love her!

We celebrated Toro the best we knew how! We ate, and dads friend has a band that played and sung the entire night and it was the funnest! We all just caught up and hung out together, then ended the night dancing. The best way to party!

Kellyn's interesting pictures she took of us haha.

Aunty Lana.

Tezzy.

Lebron.

This is the best video from the entire week! I feel like this is so out of character for dad, but he was happy and was having the best time being in town and spending time together so this was so cute! You can tell from my sisters reactions, and my loud self behind the camera that we were loving how this guy got in the middle to show everyone his moves haha. So happy I got this on video hehe.

My Toro had a friend going around taking pictures on his camera and we got those back and he captured this sweet shot!

Day 3- Temple and Grad party

Some of us woke up early to go to the temple in the morning and it was so neat. I loved being able to start our day off together at one of the best places we could be at on earth. Shel, Mum, Dad, and I went to Lolas for breakfast. We had french toast, smoothies, and it was nice spending some time with just us.

We had a graduation celebration for me.. lol. We were meant to have it at the airbnb with food and dancing and all my favorite people. We still had all that but had to move it to Koromatua school due to the terrible weather haha. It's meant to be summer and it's only been rainy most of the time haha, but we've been enjoying our time. We had music, all my favorite foods, and a lot of my family and friends with me. Was the best way to celebrate. I don't have many photos from this day because we were just enjoying the day but I have this video of the Hawea whanau singing and this song always gets me so I'll leave this here so I can have it forever.

I've got this cute picture of Tutepourangi and Tupono. The sweetest thing ever!!

Day 4- Goodbyes, pool, and late nights

First goodbyes, and it was not easy in any way haha. The King-Haweas, Kahaiali'is, Aunty Vanya, Dev, and Toro were the first ones to be leaving. Almost everyone gone after a full on time of partying. There were tears, lots of hugs, and lots of hoping that we see each other again soon.

Two of my faves!

After our goodbyes, a few of us stragglers that were left over hahaha- went out to brunch at the Chocolate lounge. A family favorite. This picture was hilarious and the only picture I have from this moment and it's a mess. We had done a lot of partying, barely slept and had another early morning this day and we were just trying to truck on. These two are showing it, but we were all feeling it lol.

Later on in the day, after we all kinda had a good sleep hehe- we met up with Dad at pool with some of his mates hehe. We played for a while and kind of went back and forth playing against each other and it was tons of fun.

After pool, us cousins were still keen to keep the party rolling so we went over to Jayda and Paora's for a games night! We had candy. fun games, and tired eyes haha. It was something like 4 in the morning when we were finally packing up and getting outta there. We played all sorts of games, listened to good music, and we had the bestest night/morning.

Day 5- Tokoroa

We went to Tok for a little bit to pick up mum and the girls things. Before heading back to Hamilton we stopped in at Robert Harris and everything freaking hit haha. We shared nachos and pancakes and treated ourselves to an ice chocolate. Love those things. Nana ended up meeting us there and it was fun spending time together.

LOL.

Some cows on the drive back to Hams.

Day 6- The hardest goodbye

The hardest people to say bye too. Mum had already made her way through security by the time we were taking these pictures hehe. Had the best week with this bunch. We were so so blessed to have this time together with all the craziness we have in our own lives, and I will always be grateful for the week of partying we had together hehe!

These two besties haha.

Grateful for all these memories! Grateful for these people. Grateful for the funnest party week with the Hawea crew!
