Living on Island time

Surprise! Shawty gang are in Hawaii and we are so excited to be here.

Dec 6- Landed in Hawaii

The shawtys and I landed in Hawaii and we went straight to the hotel and checked in and showered. We were feeling a bit sleepy but instead of napping, we got ready for the day and made sure to take advantage of our time here hehe. We went to Ala Moana and had chick for lunch, a fan favorite hehe. Then, shopped till we dropped!

Ubering around town.
Chick fil a!!

We went back to the hotel and chilled for a bit until we had to get ready to go out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory with my sissys! They were driving down to us to hang out for a wee girls night and I was so excited hehe.
We all dressed up in pretty dresses and started the party with some mocktails from the hotel hehe.

Party girls out on the town in Waikiki hehe.

We stopped at this cute market on our way to the Cheesecake factory and it had so many cute things. Love markets like that, especially in Hawaii. They're so fun.
Another favorite about Hawaii is how Elvis Presley is all over the place hehe. I love him and I love Blue Hawaii, so I love spotting that movie and him all over the Island.

The girls went back to Laie to get back for work and school, but it was such a fun night and I was so grateful they were able to make it for the night so we could have dinner together. The other girls and I were feeling a bit snacky so we went over to this place called the ABC store and it is now our favorite place ever! Had everything you could think of haha. They had hot food, all kinds of snacks, dole whip, Hawaiian clothese haha, anything you could imagine- they had it.

A bit of everything- some of my faves hehe.

Dec 7- Fun times in Waikiki

Started our morning off with hotel breakfast. It was so delicious. They had these breakfast taquitos and they were amazing haha.

We went for a walk to the beach and it was such a nice day out.

We were all looking forward to having a swim hehe. When we got to the beach, there was a walkway along the water so we went for a little walk before swimming and today was literally gorgeous.

Then, we went for a nice swim in the ocean and relaxed on the beach for a little hehe. Nicest views around.

Beach bums hehe.

On our way back to the hotel we stopped at this shaved ice place next to the hotel and it was phenomenal. I'm a sucker for a good shaved ice and this one was too good hehe. They had the yummiest flavors and poured a heap ton of condensed milk on top just the way we like hehe.

We went to the markets to get a few things and here we were with matching Hawaiian sandals, so cute hehe.

Dec 8- Waikiki>Laie

Sissys came to pick us up and we were off to Laie! The drive up was so much fun hehe. We talked, and jammed out to some good music and saw some pretty views on our way.

We went to the PCC! That was such a treat. We ran into some family and friends who were visiting from NZ too and then some who lived here. Was fun to see some of the different Polynesian cultures.

This is on our way to Teds!!

Teds Bakery is our favorite!! I didn't realize that they had mixed plates and it was so yummy. Of course had to grab a piece of carrot cake and that was 😍

We stopped at the temple for some pictures!

We went swimming at the hotel and this was one of my favorite parts to the entire trip! When we were done with swimming, the girls had gotten treats so they could use up the rest of their money from school, and then we got dominos for dinner- it was so good. We just ate up in the room and the girls boyfriends came over too and we all just hung out and watched some movies. Best of times with this bunch.

Dec 9- Tai's Graduation

Tai graduated from BYU! and it was so fun to watch him walk across that stage and be celebrated for all his hard work hehe. After his ceremony, we took a million pictures for the FOMOs and for us to just remember the day by ha.

Ran into the Barbers, and got to cuddle up with their beautiful baby boy who I love hehe.

We went to the cafe, which was such a fun experience for me. I really enjoyed that haha. There was a selection of food and we had this yummy dessert pizza that I wish I could be eating right now haha. We ran into Liahona who I hadn't seen in ages! That was so lovely.

We had dinner at seven brothers with the Barbers and I was dying to catch with La and have more cuddles with her baby. I also freaking love seven brothers. They are my favorite and it really just hit. They have yummy burgers and chips, then we got some coconut shrimp and it was the best.

The Barbers.

Gorgeous boo boo girl.

Heaven on earth.

Here's some of the fun bunch that set up some wedding stuff that needed to be ready by the next day for Tai and Hia's reception. Was fun to just hang out and catch up with everyone who we don't get to see all the time.

Dec 10- Back to NZ

We woke up and had to quickly get ready for our day. We had to be packed and checked out of our hotel so that we could go to the airport straight from the sealing for Tai and Hia. We were so so happy that we got to make it for this bit at the very least, these two are the most beautiful couple that I've ever met hehe. They are just so sweet and we were happy we got to be there on their special day.

There was a whakawhanaungatanga the day before where we were able to meet the other side of the family, so that it was kind of a perfect blending and introduction to both sides. We got to meet Hia's family, Tai's dads side and they were all a freaking party. Including our side of course who we know and love hehe.

Me and Dolly.

Uncle Mark- our fave guy.

Mahalo to Hawaii for some good times, New Zealand here we come for some partying hehe.
