The Reid's!!!!
Sheldyn Lee is married and we have a brother hehehe!
Wanted to do a post solely on the phone we had celebrating the Reids in Hawaii. Was one of the best times I had had and I have so much goodness to share from it.
These are personal cookies that were made in Tokoroa and ordered by my nan for Sheldyn's bridal shower. I missed that and had only gotten in on the day of but I was happy I got a cookie to have cos these are actually my favourite.
Super excited for our brother to join the family LOL. |
Laie Temple. |
Then, they sealed the deal!! Ahhh, can't believe it. It was such a bittersweet and nice day. It was extra special because Kellyn was preparing for her mission and had just been endowed and so she got to be in the sealing as well! That was so cool being all endowed and being together in the temple. Shel married a really lovely guy that's so good for her and Kel and I are super excited to have a brother in law.
Target run! |
We had heaps of games nights and late hang outs! This is little of what nights looked like for us and my big family hehe. It was so fun because both sides of my family all stayed at the same hotel, so we would swim and chill during the day and carry it out through the night hehe. It was the best!!
We love the Crezees! It was such a blessing that they came to Hawaii for the wedding but it was even better that amongst the crazy we got to spend time with them and have lunch together. They were at the Kahala with us too so we met at one of the restaurants there and caught up and had a nice time just being together.
This treat was seriously the best. |
Us siblings hehehehe went to the markets and had a walk around! It was a super hot day but it's always so nice walking around the markets and having a nosey at what their selling. It's always a highlight when we're in Hawaii.
Somewhere where we spent a lot of our time hehe. It was cool because at the resort, they had a beach super duper close and then a pool. So a bunch of us were there at the same time and swam, did chicken fights, talked, relaxed, and spent hours swimming hehe. It was always a good time. The best way to spend your holiday.
The reception!!!! Okay this was THE coolest sealing ever. What my most favorite part was, was that Shel and Lance each gave the other persons culture a go. So Shel is Cook Island and Maori and Lance song a Cook Island song while my cousins danced along and then he participated in the Haka! Then, Lance is Hawaiian and Samoan and Shel did a siva and a hula along with Lance's mum and it was just SO cool. Something about Lance is he is a performer!! and that's not normally in Sheldyn's expertise but it was such a massive deal for her to have given it a go!!! I loved their reception and their program and their food (specifically their bread pudding hehe) and it was just the biggest party! and lots of fun.
I hope and pray this video works, it's always so touch and go with videos so I'll keep it at this one but this is Lance dancing and it was so neat seeing him perform!
Okay and crack up/lovely memory that I just have to share! So, our lovely and kind brother in law invited us to their room after the reception and let us hang out with them haha. They ordered us pizza, we ate and he shared their portion of bread pudding that was leftover from the reception and we helped them count all the money they made from their wedding HAHA. This was a snapshot of all of us cozied up in their one bed and smashed from the busy day hehe. Love this lot.
The dreaded bit of every trip... lol, the goodbyes. My least favorite part haha. Grateful I got to celebrate my sister getting married. It was the coolest wedding and I am so happy for the two newly weds and loved all the celebrating we got to do together. Now back to reality.. hehehe.
