Things that happened in July & August 2023
Yeah the late blog posts haha. I want to catch up and I'm a whole year late so there's heaps to write on LOL. So here we go:
JULY
My talented friend did some photos of Laitin and I. We had just been talking about how we never had nice photos together hehe ooop. We were shy but grateful to come out with these.
I got a fixed term job with the FIFA Women's World Cup- ahhhhhh!!! They had games in Hamilton for a month and so we worked to prep before and during. It was so much fun and it was such a good experience I got to have.

AUGUST
My Aunty Lisa was in town and invited us out to dinner and we went to Shinjuku (a Japanese place were obsessed with!). It was so nice catching up with her, she's one of the loveliest people I know so it was nice to spend some time with her while she was in Hams.
Laitin went through the temple and it was such a lovely night. Grateful I got to be there with him and excited as we prepare for our next phase in life hehe. Also got to have some of our favorite people along with us on that night. After we finished at the temple, we all went out to dinner at Nandos. Ended the night perfect.
We did an escape room with our friends! It was their first time doing one so we were excited to do one with them. Got out just in time and were very impressed with the room we got to do!
Not sure if you can tell what decade were in haha, but we went out to a 2000's YSA dance! Had to share cos we had fun putting together these outfits and the Strother's did such a good job putting together this dance and this backdrop.
Laitin and I did an anniversary date and decided we wanted to make it a tradition to do an escape room around the date of our first ever date. We did an escape room in Auckland and it was Laitin's first time every doing one back then and we've loved them ever since so we thought it would be fun to do that so we went back up to Auckland to the same place but a different room and it was cool to relive where it all started.
We got matching spoon rings that a local girl made and they're the cutest things! |
